Regarding Joe Holleman's column "Democrats still ‘have not come to grips’ with Trump reelection, Missouri’s Eric Schmitt says" (May 13): I was struck by our junior senator's statement that, "It's only recently that the Left has just sort of decided that there's not going to be punishment for crime."
Apparently Schmitt has forgotten that on the first day of President Donald Trump's second term, he pardoned approximately 1,500 individuals who had violently attacked and ransacked the Congress on Jan 6, 2021.
