The Wall Street Journal recently reported that the creation of whole neighborhoods enclosed by new sports stadiums and entertainment areas is emerging as "a real estate class all its own,鈥 as a way to bring back 鈥渟leepy downtowns.鈥
This brought home to me that St. 香港三级片 already has a jump on the way to keep our city and Downtown exciting and safe without walling it all in.
We have Busch Stadium for the Cardinals and other entertainment attached to Ballpark Village, the Blues鈥 Enterprise Center, the Stifel for great musical entertainment, Energizer Park for our CITY SC soccer team聽鈥 all in the heart of downtown.
There are hotels, restaurants, parks, sculptures and Union Station鈥檚 Ferris wheel and aquarium. There is something for everyone. Residential development is growing in new and historic buildings.

We have the welcoming Gateway Arch and newly renovated historic courthouse, Soldiers Memorial, and a wonderful public library.
Being safe and feeling safe is everyone鈥檚 concern, and this can happen with an increase in police presence and an increase in residents and visitors. This will create that security that is essential. It will enable the growth and safety of downtown to Washington Avenue and Laclede鈥檚 Landing. We have much more than just the basics in this city.
