ST. LOUIS — Police have identified the man killed in Tower Grove South last week as Amber Rai, 68, of St. Ïã¸ÛÈý¼¶Æ¬.
Rai was hit by a Jeep at about 10:30 a.m. May 12 at Gravois and Spring avenues, police said.
The Jeep was making a turn from Spring onto eastbound Gravois when the vehicle struck Rai. The Jeep's driver remained at the scene, police said.

Rai suffered a head injury and died at the scene, authorities said.
The Bhutanese Association of St. Ïã¸ÛÈý¼¶Æ¬ said Rai was a beloved father and member of the Bhutanese-Nepalese community in south St. Ïã¸ÛÈý¼¶Æ¬. He had gone to a grocery on Gravois and was struck while walking near his home.
Rai had been living in south city since 2012 with his wife and two young sons, said Manoj Nepal, who is money for the family.Â
